Ian Sefferman: “Why Detroit Is The Next Unicorn Capital” | Talks at Google
In this Talk, co-founder of Assembler Labs and successful entrepreneur Ian Sefferman explains why Detroit is prime for startups. Ian draws on his experiences of working for major tech startups in Seattle to Detroit’s startup community, which he believes is still in its infancy. Detroit also has a plethora of founders and investors entering the community, much like Seattle did 15-20 years ago. Its identity is nascent, so founders/investors are working together to build the startup community in Detroit and believe that it can be a model that all other startup communities look up to when it comes to diversity, energy and success.
