Detroit’s home swap program continues to transform lives

by jcmobilepublished on December 27, 2019

The Cains and Fullers are brand new neighbors. Lifelong Detroit residents unknown to each other, both moved recently. Each left homes they’d been in for years. And each moved into gorgeous, fully-renovated homes in a good neighborhood. The same neighborhood. The same block. Actually – they’re next-door neighbors. Think about it. Two awesome families are starting an awesome new chapter in an awesome new home – and sharing the experience side by side. About Bridging Neighborhoods: The construction of Gordie Howe International Bridge led to the City’s Bridging Neighborhoods home swap program. Eligible homeowners have been swapping their deeds for a newly renovated home in a different neighborhood since late 2018.
