‘Build that trust in the community’: Group works to get more Black men vaccinated
State health officials have put a big emphasis on equity, making sure all groups have equal access to shots. Statistically in Sacramento County, fewer men than women are getting the COVID-19 vaccine. The numbers are less when it comes to African American men. Men go to barbershops, like Sacramento’s Spotlight Hair Studio on Vintage Park Drive, not just for the cuts, but also for conversation.
